Switch off & Stitch - an introduction to embroidery, 10.30 - 3.30
Join textile artist Janice Botterill for a relaxing introduction to contemporary embroidery and hand stitching.
We will start by learning and practicing a selection of useful and adaptable stitches, working with autumnal colours and motifs to create a small sampler.
After lunch we’ll design our own mini-project using the stitches and techniques we’ve learned in the morning.
A small kit including a needle, thread, mini-hoop and fabric is included in the price of this workshop. You’ll find more of Janice’s work and writing on Instagram and Substack @slowquietwork
