Join textile artist and maker Janice Botterill for an enjoyable and relaxing day of festive-themed textile creativity.
We will work with a selection of traditional hand embroidery, appliqué and darning stitches throughout the day and you will learn the skills to combine re-purposed fabrics and threads to create decorative patches and motifs - all of which can be adapted and used for cards, gift tags and decorations.
Janice will also bring a selection of her own work to show how these techniques can be adapted and scaled up to make larger panels and collages. You can see more of her work on Instagram @slowquietwork
All in-class materials and refreshments are included. You may wish to bring a selection of personal fabrics to include in your patches. Suitable for all levels of experience.
