Malmesbury Textile Group is a small and friendly textile and stitch group based in Malmesbury and the surrounding area. They are an independent group of enthusiastic and motivated people who like to crate Art in a very general sense.

Although a textile group by name the members use, practise and include all kinds of mixed media methods to. create original pieces to be enjoyed by themselves and others.

This exhibition features work by Patricia Bell, Sarah Bond, Janice Botterill, Maggie Bowden, Rachel Hatchard, Janet Casselden, Sue De Barro, Liz Hicks, Heather Martin, Gloria Pugh, Debbie Shipp, Susan Sutton, Ruth Vaughan and Ghissly Vincenti.

The artists have responded in different ways to the theme ‘on the edge’ capturing memories, emotions and the precariousness of nature and the human condition in the face of the climate emergency.

A group project - the Athelstan banner - can be viewed at the top of the stairs in Malmesbury Town Hall.
