Malmesbury Young Artists Exhibition

John Bowen Gallery, Malmesbury Town Hall, 13 – 24 September 2025

Painting by Iona Carter

For Art Month 2025, Caerbladon invited local young people to submit artwork for a specially curated professional exhibition of seven young people’s art at the John Bowen Gallery, Malmesbury Town Hall,  from 13 - 24 September. The artwork was selected from submissions by local young people 13 - 18 years old, and works by Chris Hills, Jess Waddell, Iona Carter, Lizzie Marriage, Rufus Lawton and Ellie Priest are on display.

Over the last year Caerbladon has created a fully equipped studio and workshop space upstairs at our High Street premises. They have run free drop-in sessions for young people, and creative sessions during half-term under the Let’s Create Art national initiative, led by professional artists and designers.

As Caerbladon Co-Director Karen Drake comments:

“Let’s Create Art aims to inspire the next generation of creative change makers, and one of Caerbladon’s first outcomes has been a new magazine M:ZINE which provides young people with a platform for sharing their creativity, interests, passions and ideas about making the lives of local people better. Free copies of M:ZINE are available at the exhibition”
